Hot! Sardine Festival Portimão – 3 -11 August 2012

sardine festival portimao, festival sardinha

You’re never too young to eat sardines. But…if you haven’t yet acquired a taste for these little ocean creatures, you’re never too young to CELEBRATE sardines. And the perfect place to do it is at the Portimão Sardine Festival, running 3-11 August.

Each day starts with a parade from the Portimão Museum, along the waterfront, to the festival grounds. (While you’re near the museum, you might want to visit the sardine canning exhibition. Read about it here.).

Inside, eight restaurants are serving up sardines (of course!) and other Portuguese and festival favorites.
